世界最大的树木

          雪曼将军树是这个地球上最大的树，它位于美国加利福尼亚州的红杉国家公园内。大约2700年前，中国的春秋战国时期这棵树已经存在了。这棵雪曼将军树属于巨杉被称为世界爷，也被称为谢尔曼将军树或舍曼将军树。在1879年，博物学家杰姆·沃尔弗顿为了纪念南北战争时的将军威廉·特库姆塞·舍曼，从而命名了这棵树。这棵树底部直径11.1米，高度有83.5米相当于28层楼那么高，底部周长有31米需要20多个成年人手挽手才能抱住。如今，通过景区观光的方式，人们来到这里和古树近距离接触、拍照留念；去亲近自然感受自然的美妙。

Its height is 83.5 meters, which is the height of 28 floors. The bottom of the tree is 31 meters in circumference and requires more than 20 adults to hold hands.
